Due to challenges with imports into China, Russia has seen pollock catches slow, with 13 percent, or 37,000 metric tons, less pollock caught in Russia's "A" season than last year.

Likewise, headed and gutted (H&G) production in the country is down 34 percent, while there has been more focus on fillet production, which is up 31 percent, or 11,000 metric tons.

However, at the same time, production of pin-bone-out (PBO) fillets in the United States is down 17,000 metric tons.
