Honduran shrimp production and exports are expected to be flat in 2020 as producers battle low prices, high production costs and climatic factors, trade association Andah told IntraFish.

The central American nation exports almost all of the shrimp it produces. Last year exports reached 67.6 million pounds worth $218.8 million (€198.7 million).

Andah President Victor Wilson said besides low prices, "Honduras has high production input costs, so it can be challenging."
