The boom in demand from the United States and China helped Ecuadorian shrimp producers record their best-ever January export figures.
The South American nation shipped 161 million pounds of shrimp worth $470 million (€413 million) in the opening month of 2022, although the figure was still short of the overall record of 188 million pounds posted in November.
