Danish seafood supplier Sirena Group will not renew Russian contracts, leaving big whitefish hole to fill

Denmark-based Sirena Group is in the process of finalizing its current contracts with Russian companies and will not renew any such contacts, CEO Boe Spurre told IntraFish at the Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona last week.

Many retailers are trying to get out of their contracts with Russian companies, but it is a huge task, Spurre said.

"The global supply line will evidently change, but it will take time," he said.

Companies need to step out of Russia, but do so in a pace that is sustainable, since the world needs time to get used to the new conditions, Spurre said.
