Clearwater CEO: Scallop business may see short-term uptick from EU tariffs on US seafood

The tariffs, which will hit scallops and frozen salmon among other species, is a result of a 16-year legal fight between Boeing and European aerospace firm Airbus over illegal subsidies.

"I think there could be some modest opportunity in particular for our UK king scallops in the short term through the holiday season depending on when these tariffs physically to into effect on the ground," said Clearwater CEO Ian Smith.
