Chile salmon producers' goal of recovering Chinese market share lost during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic is looking increasingly elusive, and industry executives are struggling to pinpoint just when the recovery might happen.
In addition to the complexities of shipping by airfreight and the impact of COVID-19 checks, restrictions and related port congestion are continuing to hamper exports, Arturo Clement, president of salmon industry trade body SalmonChile, told IntraFish.
