Spanish seafood processor Calvo has invested €30 million ($36.4 million) to retool its Carballo facility on new packaging it says will revolutionize the way canned seafood is sold to consumers.

The company says its new trademarked peel-off lid systems --"Vuelca Facil" and "Real Peel" -- should dramatically increase not only ease of use, but presentation of the product.

"Our consumers will no longer have to break the product to extract it.
