The Sea of Okhotsk Danish seine pollock fishery has gained Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification, just weeks after another portion of the key Sea of Okhotsk fishery was certified.

The Danish seine pollock fishery is now certified for five years, subject to successful completion of annual surveillance audits, according to the MSC. The additional stock was submitted for review by Russia-based Vityaz-Avto.

The certification covers Danish seine harvests for pollock in the Kamchatka Kuril and West-Kamchatka subzones within the Sea of Okhotsk.
