'Some fisheries will have to invest more heavily into their sustainability agenda' under newly approved MSC standard

Some fisheries have raised concerns because the new standards require certain improvements while other organizations fear that the standards are falling short.

It is important for MSC that fisheries are certified to a certain standards so they can comfortably claim that they are as sustainable as possible, MSC Director Ernesto Jardim said.
