Salmon producer Grieg Seafood will prioritize soy protein concentrate (SPC) producers expediting their deforestation cut-off date to 2020 through the company's feed contracts.

The Brazilian soy protein concentrate producers CJ Selecta, Caramuru and Imcopa have already committed to cutting off soy grown on legally deforested land by 2021 for their entire supply chains.

"We urge the soybean traders association ABIOVE and the other Brazilian soy traders to follow suit," said Grieg Director for Feed, Nutrition and Sustainability Tor Eirik Homme.
