Offshore warmwater aquaculture company Forever Oceans said Tuesday a new environmental assessment conducted for the company by the Nature Conservancy shows the carbon footprint of its fish is estimated to be less than 1/14 of that for beef.

The company, which is raising kanpachi (Seriola rivoliana) off the west coast of Panama and selling product in the United States, has set a goal of being Scope 1 and 2 carbon neutral by 2027.
