After several rounds of stakeholder input and a public comment period earlier this year, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has released its first-ever seafood strategy.

The strategy outlines the agency's direction over the next five years to support a domestic seafood economy. Created under the Biden Administration the strategy is largely tied to helping the seafood industry become more resilient in the face of climate change, which is rapidly altering the location, size, and composition of US fisheries, according to NOAA.
