The Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) released the third version of its Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) feed mill standard on June 15. The new standard includes stricter sourcing requirements, and its main focus is on responsibly sourced marine ingredients, baking in requirements for MarinTrust certification.
BAP is calling for 75 percent of marine ingredients to come from certified sources or fishery improvements projects (FIPs) by 2025, up 25 percent from it's current bar.
