Conservation International (CI) Ventures, an investment fund managed by the nonprofit of the same moniker, has one primary goal: catalyze funding for companies.

So far, the investment fund has lived up to that goal, helping companies in the blue economy go on to raise $18.5 million (€18.5 million) in co- and follow-on financing.

Since its founding in 2018, CI Ventures has invested $4.1 million directly (€4.1 million) in blue economy deals, Gracie White, the fund's lead of global oceans investments, told IntraFish, and its plans are to deploy much more.
