The Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) awarded Seafarms Group -- the company behind huge Australian land-based shrimp farm Project Sea Dragon -- the four-star Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) stamp across its entire value chain.

The company is the first Australian shrimp farmer to be granted this certification across its Queensland facilities, namely its hatchery in Innisfail, farms at Cardwell and Ingham and processing facility at Cardwell.

On April 2, GAA announced it is temporarily deferring its 2020 BAP program fee structure, which went into effect on Feb.
