World's leading shrimp producer navigates new landscape in 2025

A sharp drop in shipments to key markets in China and the United States in December brought an end to more than a decade of strong growth for Ecuador's shrimp exports.

"We started the year, let's say, with an expectation of a different situation than we have lived in the last two and a half years," Jose Antonio Camposano, executive president of shrimp producers' trade association Camara Nacional de Acuacultura (CNA), told IntraFish.
