Vietnamese shrimp giant Minh Phu will temporarily be required to pay a 10 percent antidumping duty on shrimp from India that is shipped to the United States, reported Dau Tu Chung Khoan.

Earlier in January, the US Customs and Border Protection (CPB) announced it is formally investigating Minh Phu for evading antidumping orders on frozen warmwater shrimp from India.

The CPB said it initiated an informal investigation in October, according to a letter written to the Ad Hoc Shrimp Trade Enforcement Committee (AHSTEC) and California-based seafood importer MSeafood, a subisidary of Minh Phu.
