Danish recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) technology supplier Billund Aquaculture and German food and agritech startup Aquapurna plan to use their joint venture to scale a Germany-based shrimp hatchery.
For two years, Aquapurna has been working together in a joint venture with Billund, aiming to develop RAS shrimp farming.
Aquapurna said it's raising broodstock and producing nauplii, which are newly hatched brine shrimp larvae.
