Ecuador shrimp exports smash records in November

Exporters shrug off concerns about shipping constraints to post record exports.

Ecuador's global shrimp exports soared to a record 188 million pounds in November despite concern about the global container shipping crisis severely crimping exporters' ability to ship product to key markets.

Shipments smashed the previous record of 167 million pounds set in April 2021, surpassing it by 12.5 percent.

Exports were once again boosted by red hot demand in the United States.
