Ecuadorian shrimp exports to China climbed sharply for the second consecutive month in October, underpinning hopes that orders lost to the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic are returning sooner than expected.

Exports rose 57 percent to 74.7 million pounds, just falling short of the 75.9 million pounds exported to China in October last year.

The rise comes on the heels of a 66 month over month increase in September.
