Ecuadorian shrimp giant Songa said it is waiting for a response from Chinese authorities as the company tries to overturn a ban on the company's products following the discovery of white spot disease in a consignment last month.
"The Ecuadorian government has been very diligent and professional in its handling of this case and yesterday, from the Ecuadorian embassy in Beijing, all the information required and relevant was presented to the Chinese authority to support the request to lift the suspension," Songa CEO Rodrigo Laniado told IntraFish.
