Red shrimp from Argentina was shut out of the Brazilian market in May 2020 under a provisional ruling by a court in the capital city Brasilia after an appeal by Brazilian producers led by industry trade body ABCC against an earlier judgment allowing Argentine shrimp to enter Brazil.
