Norway-based cold chain logistics company Glacio expects superchilling technology to lead the way in how seafood is prepared and transported in the future.

Superchilling technology holds lots of promise for seafood companies in terms of cost, product quality and emission reductions, the company said.

With superchilling, logistic companies transporting seafood don’t have to waste space by transporting ice, thereby creating more room for fish and ultimately lowering the price per kilogram, Thomas Karlsen, managing director of Glacio Fredrikstad, told IntraFish.
