Shipping rates on a key route from China to Europe have fallen, bringing at least some relief to seafood exporters, while rates from China to the United States show a mixed picture this week, according to the latest bulletin from shipping sector analysts Drewry.

Rates per 40-foot equivalent unit container (feu) from Shanghai to Rotterdam are down 2 percent week over last week at $10,364 (€9,525), while rates for containers going in the opposite direction were flat at $1,045 (€960).
