US seafood processor Fortune International has opened a new warehouse and distribution facility in North Carolina, expanding the company’s reach into the growing southeast market.
The new 40,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution site will begin serving mainly D'Artagnan products.
But the company has plans for it to become a regional hub for the full Fortune Fish & Gourmet product range to retailers and foodservice customers in Washington DC, Baltimore, Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Atlanta, and later Tennessee and South Carolina.
Founded in 1985 D’Artagnan was sold to Fortune in March.
Last month Fortune appointed Ian Navarro as the company's first chief marketing officer.
