Norway has set the quotas for king crab fishing in the country with a total allowable catch of 1,930 metric tons.
As of Jan. 22, 761 vessels were registered to fish the species, but the Directorate of Fisheries expects this number will increase significantly in 2021, as vessels from all over the northern Finnmark region are allowed to participate in the quota area.
