The issue of low housing capacity in rural Scotland is not new, but the problem has been heightened by the Coronavirus pandemic.

As more people relocated to secluded areas to work remotely or buy second homes, pressure on Scotland’s housing market rose, sending prices up and making it difficult for workers with job offers in the salmon farming industry to relocate.
