A group of British supermarkets has issued claims for damages in the United Kingdom against several Norwegian seafood companies implicated in the European Commission’s price-fixing case, according to two of the companies involved.

Leroy Seafood Group said in its fourth-quarter report published Wednesday that it “strongly rejects” the allegations by the claimants - which it did not identify - and that it considered such claims to be “baseless.” It said the claims were filed this month.
