A joint-venture project between the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe and Cooke Aquaculture to establish a new netpen steelhead farm in Port Angeles, Washington, is still alive, the tribe's CEO told IntraFish on Wednesday.

"It is still active. As far as we're concerned that application should be active," said Ron Allen, chairman and CEO of the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe, referring to a pending application before the state that, if approved, would allow for the construction of a netpen in Port Angeles Harbor at the location of a former Cooke farming site.
