One of the world's largest seafood companies, South Korea's Dongwon, is investing NOK 50 million ($5.5 million/€4.7 million) in Norwegian land-based salmon producer Salmon Evolution with plans for production in its domestic market.

The first construction phase of Salmon Evolution's farm in Norway is well underway, and "it is natural that we now begin to look at the next step where Salmon Evolution can expand," Roger Halsebakk, owner of Ronja Capital, the largest stakeholder in the Norwegian producer, told IntraFish sister publication DN.
