Atlantic Sapphire shares fell sharply on Tuesday despite Norwegian brokerage Pareto Securities upgrading its recommendation for the stock.

Pareto analysts lifted their rating on the land-based salmon producer from "hold" to "buy," but this couldn't prevent the company's share price from sliding 12.5 percent to NOK 34.60 (€3.38/$3.86) at one point during Tuesday's trading, before edging up to NOK 35.40 (€3.51/$4.00) at the close of trading, a 10.5 percent drop from the previous day's closing price.
