Scottish salmon farmers warn seals are getting more bold in their attacks, causing €15 million in losses

More than 500,000 farmed salmon were reported as being killed directly as a result of seal attacks on Scottish farms in 2020.

Recent figures show that 79 seals were shot in the last 12 months by Scottish salmon farmers, the highest number in seven years.
