Scottish salmon farming startup Organic Sea Harvest (OSH) officially harvested its first fish from its site off the Isle of Skye in Scotland last week.

"As this was our first harvest we just harvested a few thousand fish to get the product out to the customers and get some feedback," CEO Ove Thu told IntraFish.

The group will gradually increase harvesting going forward, he said.

OSH is a partnership between several sales and processing companies and local fish farmers. Most of the first batch of fish went to partners in the venture, which include Dutch group Visscher Seafood, Canadian supplier Dom International and Norway's Villa Seafood.
