Samherji begins work on $15.5 million land-based expansion, a prelude to massive salmon farming project

The expansion will give the company experience it plans on applying to its 40,000 metric-ton salmon site.

"We are going to take advantage of the experience we gain here in the north when the construction really begins in the south," said Arnar Freyr Jonsson, operations manager at the company.
