Norway-based salmon farmer Mowi is building a new post-smolt facility at its aquaculture hub on Scotland's Isle of Skye as part of its strategy to boost volumes across its farming operations.
The land-based farm, to be built in Kyleakin next to the company's existing feed mill, will increase the size of smolt produced at the site, which are currently grown up to 800 grams and harvested within 12 months.
