Norwegian salmon farmer Grieg Seafood has made a legal claim as a result of defects in a concrete feed fleet the group purchased.

Grieg alleges Norwegian aquaculture fleet manufacturer Endur Sjosterk delivered barges to its Finnmark operations that did not meet agreed-upon specifications, and is now seeking compensation.

"Our wish is, of course, to reach a solution before it ends up in court," Endur Sjosterk Managing Director Mons-Ove Hauge told IntraFish.

This concrete feed raft with a capacity of 400 metric tons was manufactured by Endur Sjosterk in 2019 and delivered to Grieg Seafood in Finnmark.
