Norwegian salmon farmer SalMar - now the world's second largest salmon producer -- said it has the potential this year to grow production by as much as 33 percent without any additional large capital expenditures.
The increase, if fully achieved, would take SalMar's total salmon harvests to 362,000 metric tons across its regions this year.
"Our ambition is further growth in all the regions we operate, but where, how soon and how much we will invest will depend on where we find a sustainable regulatory framework," said Arntsen ahead of the company's Capital Markets Day in Norway on Wednesday.
