Russian company Aqua Group is planning to build a land-based salmon farm near Moscow, which when completed will have a production capacity of 5,000 metric tons and investment of around RUB 4 billion (€50.4 million/$56.7 million).
Based on an agreement signed by the Moscow area government, Aqua Group has leased a plot of land in the Kashira special economic zone in the Moscow region to build the salmon farm, which will use recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) technology.
