Chile's National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (Sernapesca) said it will continue to monitor and inspect clean up operations in the Los Lagos region as the removal of mortalities at production sites affected by low oxygen levels in water and algal blooms draws to a close.

By the end of Wednesday 99 percent of mortalities -- accounting for 4,551 metric tons -- had been removed.

Recent separate incidents suffered by Camanchaca in the Los Lagos region, including in the Camau and Rinihue Fjiords, have cost the company significantly.
