Canada-based Cooke Aquaculture's plans to expand its Kelly Cove Salmon sites in Nova Scotia's Liverpool Bay is set to go before the Nova Scotia Aquaculture Review Board next year.
Cooke's application for expansion in the province, if approved, would more than triple the amount of farmed salmon production the company has in the area.
From Feb. 5-9 next year the board will review Kelly Cove Salmon's applications to the province to amend an existing Liverpool farm operation and construct and operate two new sites called Mersey Point and Brooklyn.
