Salmones Camanchaca Vice Chairman Ricardo Garcia kept his cards close to his chest during Thursday's third quarter earnings conference when asked his thoughts on the impact of Norway's proposed 40 percent tax hike on Chilean salmon producers.
Garcia was asked by IntraFish whether fallout from the tax is benefiting Chilean salmon producers over Norwegian rivals in the United States, Camanchaca's and Chile's main market.
"We all know that there has been a lot of discussion, there is no tax already approved in Norway so we need to wait until that discussion is completed, and once it is completed then we will be able to say something on what we think may come back to us," he said.
