Norway farmed salmon prices marginally down, but getting larger airfreighted fish to market is 'a puzzle'

Norwegian salmon prices are expected to hold relatively stable into the next week, though some exporters reported a shortage of larger fish typically shipped by air to Asian markets.

"It's going slowly, and we seem to be getting nowhere," one exporter said. "I don't quite know where we will end up, but it may indicate that there is a bit of a shortage of large fish that can be sold for freight by air."

By 2 p.m. CET the exporter had purchased next to nothing from salmon suppliers.
