Salmones Porvenir, the new joint venture salmon farming project between Salmones Austral's Trusal and Nova Austral has recorded infectious salmon anemia at its production site bordering the Magallanes and Antarctic regions of Chile.
The outbreak is currently affecting fish in two of the company's cages which together hold around 172,311 salmon, with an average weight of 430.4 grams.
The fish will be harvested by Wednesday said a stock exchange announcement from Salmones Austral, Saturday.
