Mowi Canada East will have to go undergo further review before expanding its Northern Harvest hatchery operations in the province, according to a letter sent by Canada Minister of Environment and Climate Change Bernard Davis.

Davis wrote earlier July to Mowi that the company will have three years to submit an "environmental preview report" to the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador before it can proceed with a proposed CAD 51 million (€33.8 million/$39.5 million) expansion of its smolt hatchery in the province.
