Cermaq Norway, a subsidiary of the international Cermaq Group, has paid out a dividend of NOK 700 million (€67.5 million/$66.5 million) to its Japanese owner Mitsubishi.

The company has not paid a dividend in three of the last six years, but with strong results the last two years the dividend seemed appropriate, according to Cermaq Norway Managing Director Knut Ellekjaer.

The company posted an annual profit of NOK 1.7 billion (€164 million/$161 million) in 2021 from a turnover of just under NOK 6 billion (€578 million/$570 million).
