Traces of listeria have been found in smoked salmon in the Netherlands.
The salmon, originally from Norway, was processed in Poland and transported via Germany, according to documents from Norwegian Food Safety Authority obtained by IntraFish.
The Norwegian Food Safety Authority was notified on Jan. 24 of the discovery.
A laboratory in the Netherlands discovered the bacteria and alerted international food safety group Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).
