Norwegian land-based salmon producer Salmon Evolution announced Wednesday it is planning to expand into North America and raise its production capacity target to 100,000 metric tons by 2032.
The company said it is currently evaluating identified potential production sites in North America, and will use the rest of 2022 for site selection and initial site verifications.
The pre-construction phase, including regulatory approval processes, is expected to take 2-3 years.
