Bergen-based Grieg Seafood announced a potential finding of infectious salmon anemia at a salmon farming site in northern Norway’s Hammerfest region.

Grieg Seafood Finnmark reported the potential finding to the Norwegian Food Safety Authority last week.

Fish from the pen were already being harvested, but harvesting has been put on hold pending results of the ISA test.

Grieg suffered a painful second quarter as high costs and lower revenues nudged earnings over a cliff.
