Investors' faith in aquaculture unshaken despite proposed salmon farming tax hike

Investors still see potential for good returns and continuous growth in the aquaculture sector despite a recent proposal by the Norwegian government to introduce a new tax on salmon farmers.

"We still have big faith in the sector following the tax proposal," Aqua-Spark co-founder Amy Novogratz said during IntraFish Investor Forum in London last week.

Stein Alexander Aukner, head of equity research at DNB Markets, agreed that investors won't abandon the salmon farming sector, and noted there are other issues that weigh more heavily.
