'Industrial fishing in southern Peru is on the verge of bankruptcy'

Fishing rules introduced more than a decade ago have decimated the fishmeal and fish oil producing industries in southern Peru.

The Peruvian fishing industry says it must be able to harvest fish within five miles of the shoreline to save the industry in the south of the country.
